Defensive Carbine 2 builds upon the concepts learned during any of the above
recognized prerequisite courses of instruction. Recognized prerequisite courses: TVSAA
Defensive Carbine 1 Students
attending the Defensive Carbine 2 course will be exposed to the
following concepts of defensive Carbine craft. Manipulation
of the Carbine with both the strong and support hand, to include:
Proper
use of cover and cornering techniques, strong and support side. Proper
search techniques, room and area clearing. Tactical
movement Shooting
while moving forward, to the side or while retreating rapidly. Standard
response to a threat Non-standard
response to a threat Alternate
shooting positions The
development of combat accuracy and shooting proficiency, firing from the
strong and support side, via:
All
scores fired in this section are recorded in order to provide a record
of student proficiency. Minimum
qualification standards are approximately 90% or higher, with zero
misses permitted.
